Match Report-

                  First match on Wankhede Stadium, gave thumping victory to Mumbai Indians. After winning the toss and chosing to bat first, MI's score read 6/2 after 2 overs. Both legends, Ponting and Tendulkar were back in pavilion. Crowd could hardly believe. But after that, Karthik took the attack to opposition, while Rohit Sharma settled down. DD bowlers couldn't capitalize on the start they got. And MI batsmen kept getting big overs. After a while Rohit also started to open up and started playing big shots. Karthik made 86(48) with 14 fours and 2 sixes while Rohit Sharma remained not out till the end, scoring 70(54) with 4 fours and 5 huge sixes, 3 of them came in last over. DD's batsmen had a daunting task in their hands with 210 to chase down in 20 overs.

                        Unmukt Chand again went for Golden Duck! This time around trying to play Harbhajan's ball with the spin, the ball took the edge and flew in the vacant region of straightish extra cover, but there came a flying 38 years old "young" creature, he was none other than Ponting, he took a flying catch, and embraced Harbhajan in delight! That was the best moment! After that apart from Warner and Juneja no one tried to settle in. Young lad Juneja was unfortunately runout in the second last over for 49(40)! Warner scored 61(37), till he was there on the crease the game was surely on!It would have been even a big win for MI if Morne Morkel hadn't scored 25 runs off the last 2 overs! It was good game of cricket, Dinesh Karthik receiving orange cap(for scoring most runs in IPL-6 so far) as well as Man Of The Match award!

My Views-  

                          With Morne Morkel included in the side, expectations from DD to come back were high. They started very well, but failed after that! They have lost all the 3 games now. They were among the top-2 last time around. May be they are missing Viru, hope the fortunes will change in the next game! On the other hand MI's think tank needs to think about the opening pair, it has failed in all 3 matches so far! Dinesh Karthik has been in brilliant form! They willl want him to keep going like that! 
                    Two one sided games today, hope we will have a close game tomorrow! I will write about tomorrow's game, day after tomorrow! Thank You!
