Match Report-
MI vs CSK has always been rated as one of the high voltage encounter in IPL. As one of the tweet from fans said Dhoni captaining a team with Yellow jersey while Ponting captaining the side with Blue jersey was looking odd but was thrilling to watch as well. After winning the toss and chosing to bat first Mumbai Indians had a big set back when Tendulkar got out on first ball that he faced. Ponting, Karthik, Smith, Rohit Sharma also didn't last longer, on the wicket which was seaming a bit. Struggling at 83/6 after 12 overs, Pollard was lone warrior fighting there. He was joined by Bhajji and unlike any other innings by Bhajji so far he consolidated his attacking nature for the sake of his team and stayed there to play supporting role to Pollard. Pollard showed the world again what he is capable of, scoring 57 runs off just38 balls. MI reached respectable total of 148/6 on the pitch that looked good for batting with dew settling nicely.
CSK started their innings cautiously. After 4 overs 30/0 was a good start chasing 149. But then started the series of bad shots by CSK batsmen. Vijay, Hussey, Jadeja, Raina, Badrinath, Bravo and down the order Ashwin and Laughlin all of them selected bad shots to play which cost them their wickets. But captain of CSK and India hadn't give it up. He tried his best to win the match for CSK. He smashed Bhajji, Pollard, Johnson all around the park scoring 51 runs off just 26 balls. He got out when CSK needed 12 off last over. Trying to hit 1st ball of last over for six, Pollard took breath-taking catch to send back M.S.Dhoni. That was it. MI won the match comfortably at the end after MS' dismissal by 9 runs.

My Views-

Many people were saying that Sachin wasn't out! Because he was seen furious after he was declared out. What I think is these decisions go either way. If there wasn't Sachin on the firing line people wouldn't have criticized as they did when there was Sachin. And the reason behind Sachin being so angry, I think was because his counterpart in International cricket was batting at the non-striker's end. He would surely have wanted to score more runs than Punter. Because when he walked passed Ponting after getting out, Pontting asked him the reason of being so angry on which Tendulkar didn't reply anything just went away. Well that's my thinking. I can be wrong though. But it was superb game of cricket. It was game between two hard hitters Pollard vs Dhoni. MSD matched him in batting but one catch of Pollard took the game away!
