Match Report-

Although DD had lost 5 matches in a row, the crowd had came in numbers to support their home team. The stadium was jam-pack. MSD ad CSK won the toss and chose to bat first and DD wanted to bowl first as Jayawardene mentioned. So the toss didn't really matter! CSK's M.Huseey and Vijay started the innings with good rate. After tha partnership reached 30 in 4 overs Vijay got out. Raina played cautiously, but made sure that they don't loose quick wickets. 60/1 after 10 overs, wasn't a huge score. Raina opened up a bit after half way mark. In 13th over when he got out the score was 90/2. Then came the turning point. Dhoni walked in,and hit the first ball for 4, and made his intentions clear. He and Hussey took the attack to opposition. They scored 74 runs in just 6.4 overs. Dhoni got out in last over with 2 balls to go. He scored 44(23)! While Hussey remained not out scoring 65(50)! CSK scored 169/4 in their 20 overs.

Sehwag started off well. He hit six in the first over of the innings and got the crowd going. But in very next over, Warner, trying to pull, got inside edge on the stumps. Mohit Sharma took this wicket. In 4th over, M.Sharma striked again removing young Juneja. Chris Morris took Jayawardene's wicket. The plan of giving Mohit Sharma third over worked, as he removed danger man, Virendra Sehwag. After that, there was no one to win the match for DD! Kedar Jadhav again tried his best, top scoring 31 runs. DD were all out for just 83 runs. They lost by 87 runs to register their 6th loss in a row. For CSK this was a big win considering the loss against PWI! They moved on 4th position in points table!

My Views-

DD are struggling to get their combination right. And even if they get their combination right, players are not performing at all. They have lost 6 matches and if they want to qualify for the play-offs, they will have to win at-least 8 out of their remaining 10 games! On the other hand, CSK came back well after loss against PWI! They were right on top of DD. They didn't give DD, single chance to come back in to the game! CSK will look forward to win the match against KKR at Eden Gardens!
