Match Report-
PWI after their win against CSK were looking like a confident unit. They left Ross Taylor to bring back Angelo Mathews. While on the other hand Sangakkara dropped himself and made Cameron White captain of SRH. PWI won the toss and chose to field first. And their bowlers were brilliant. Dinda got 1st break-through in the 2nd over of the match, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar took back to back wickets of Parthiv Patel and captain White. In 5th over, Kumar dismissed Vihari, the scorecard was 17/4! Samantray and Karan Sharma then tried to form a partnership but Sharma was trapped leg before wicket by Rahul Sharma. The big hitter Perera couldn't stay more than 4 balls. 44/6 after 11 overs, Amit Mishra walked in to join Samantray who was set till then! They joined 31 runs before Samantray[37(37)] got out. Mishra continued his innings with Ashish Reddy. They added 40 runs for the 8th wicket. Mishra was run out on the second last ball of the innings. Steyn came in for the last ball, on which he scored a boundary and SRH reached respectable total of 119 runs in their 20 overs.
It was respectable total because, the pitch had something for the bowlers. With Steyn and Ishant Sharma in prime form SRH expected quick early wickets from them. But Uthappa and Finch gave PWI flying start. Prime bowler Steyn went for 22 runs in his 1st 2 overs. After 4 overs PWI scored 38 for no loss. But then came the change. Perera removed both the openers in 5th over. Steve Smith and Suman tried to form a partnership till Suman was trapped LBW by Karan Sharma! Smith and Mathews kept ticking away with the singles. When Smith got out in 13th over PWI needed 44 off 45 balls. Marsh and Mathews looked good at the crease. In 4 overs, they required 25 runs. Steyn gave away 6 runs and took wicket of Marsh of the last ball of his spell. Perera took wicket of Abhishek Nayar in very next over. PWI required 14 from last 12 balls. Both pure batsmen (M.Pandey and Mathews)were batting. Manish Pandey took single on the first ball. Mathews got out trying to hit Mishra for a siz, caught at long on. While the ball was in air batsmen crossed so, Pandey was on strike for the 3rd ball. PWI required 12 from 9 balls with 3 wickets in hand. Pandey again took single. And after that, Bang, Bang, Bang..... They weren't 3 sixes or fours... Mishra took 3 wickets, and SRH won the match. It was a hat-trick. 1st LBW and next to bowled. Manish Pandey saw all that action hopelessly from other end. From a winning postion PWI lost the match!!! Amit Mishra who took 4 wickets in 19th over including a hat-trick was named man of the match!

My Views-

PWI bowlers did amazingly well to restrict SRH to 119. PWI openers also gave them flying start. But the middle order didn't performed well, they were slow and couldn't get going. Mathews didn't play captaincy innings, he threw his wicket away! And then the wicket of Rahul Sharma was unbelivable, first ball which he faced, he looked to slog sweep and played all around it. Better thing would have been to take a single or just play out the over because pure batsman Manish Pandey was at the other end.
On the other hand SRH are winning all the games which they aready had lost at one stage, but everytime their bowlers are bringing them back and are giving wins! SRH need to improve their batting a bit!
