Match Report-
It was a low scoring but thrilling game of cricket. The result doesn't tell the true story,it was much more interesting match than it looks when we see the result!
Before the start of the match it looked much harder pitch than it was. But the pitch was comparatively slower and it was hard to score runs quickly. Sunrisers Hyderabad started well after losing the toss scored 38 runs in the powerplay overs with losing Parthiv Patel. Sangakkara got out in 10th over which was the main reason of SRH scoring only 126 runs in their 20 overs. Till Perera came in and hit quick-fire 30 off just 23 balls it was all going Pune Warriors India's way. They bowled brilliantly. Bhuvneshwar Kumar along with Yuvraj Singh gave only 25 runs in the 6 overs that they shared between them and took 2 wickets.

In the mid-innings break it looked as if PWI will
win this match comfortably with the batting line-up they had! Only
threat to them was Dale Steyn's 4 overs. Uthappa and Pandey started
steadily but slowly and saw through first spell of fiery Steyn. On the other end Ishant Sharma also bowled a tight line. SRH gave just 27 runs in the powerplay. Sanga introduced Leggie Amit Mishra into the attach and he removed Pandey, Yuvraj and Abhishek Nair. Though I thought the turning point of the match was run out of Mitchell Marsh, he had just hit a six of bowling of Reddy and in next over backing up long way, Mathews' straight slap shot touching bowler(Perera)'s hand went straight on to the non-striker stumps, and Marsh was out! 94/7 at that stage, PWI needed 32 off last 3 overs, with their captain still there. Sanga took a gamble to go for Steyn for the penultimate over leaving young Ashish Reddy (who had gone for plenty) to bowl the last over. But it wasn't required as Sanga's gamble paid off, Steyn took 3 wickets in 4 balls wrapping up the game with 7 balls to spare. Mathews couldn't do anything as he was on non-striker's end.Amit Mishra was named Man Of The match for picking up 3 important wickets of PWI.
My Views-
New Franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad started the tournament on winning note defending 126. But they didn't bat well today. Partnerships were missing. They will hope that in-form Shikhar Dhawan will be fit for the next match. Their bowling was superb! But Sanga will face problem to complete the quota of 5th bowler.
On the other hand Pune needs to look at their batting approach at the top. Marlon Samuels isn't firing with the bat. Yuvraj will take 2-3 games to settle down. So either Manish Pandey or Utthappa needs to fire right from the word go! Otherwise pressure will be built on the middle and lower middle order. Both teams played well, but SRH were better!!
