Match Report-
It was the match between Banglore's own son Rahul Dravid and adopted son Virat Kohli! Rahul Dravid, though in opposition's colour got huge applause from the crowd when walked in for the toss. Home captain Kohli won the toss and as expected chose to field first. Rampaul bowled first ball on Watson's pads which went racing away for a boundary but after that he came back well and in the 3rd over of the innings he got rid of Watson, thanks to a brilliant catch by Murali Kartik! After hitting couple of boundaries and a six, Rahane lost his wicket in sixth over. Dravid was settling in as Stuart Binny came to the crease. From first ball, he was finding middle of the bat. He looked in great touch. He scored 33(20) but got out at wrong time. With 66/3 in 10 overs RR were certainly struggling. Hodge didn't at all get going. He was struggling, big time. Dravid got out in 15th over, making 35(31) he hit 5 fours. After that no one got going and RR were all out 117 with 2 balls remaining. They were surely 30 runs short!
RCB came out with positive mind-set. Dilshan and Gayle gave them good start. RCB scored 48 runs without loosing a wicket in poweplay overs. They were right on top at that stage. But bowling for first time in any format (in 2013) Shane Watson got the wicket of Dilshan[25(22)]! In very next over Kohli was bowled by Faulkner. More trouble was to come when de Villiers got out in the 9th over, Watson was the bowler again! RCB were surely in trouble when Sourabh Tiwary playing his first match in this IPL season joined Chris Gayle. They both were batting very patiently. They rotated the strike quite sensibly. In 15th over, with 27 required off 33 balls, Tiwary hit Chandila for a six. And in 18th over with 12 required in 3 overs, Tiwary smoked Siddharth Trivedi for couple of boundaries. Gayle finished the match with a six in the same over. Tl everyone's surprise it was Gayle's first six in that innings! RCB won the match comfortably with 2 overs to spare!

My Views-

RR batted poorly. Every batsman was looking to take RR's total to 180 and ended up being 60 short. If they had small targets in their minds then they might have got more than what they eventually got! RCB started off pretty well with Gayle and Dilshan. But lost 3 prime wickets in the middle. If they had lost Gayle there then the story would have been different. But Gayle and Tiwary played sensible innings. The crowd was getting restless to see Gayle hitting a six. He didn't disappoint them as he hit a six to finish of the Game!
