Match Report-
The defending champions KKR outplayed the Delhi Daredevils in the opening game of IPL-6. Right from the toss everything went in KKR's favor. Brett Lee's swinging full length ball set up the tone nicely for KKR. Unmukt Chand will be feeling unlucky to face and get out on the first ball of new season. Jayawardene(66 of 52 balls) played amazing innigs, but didn't got the support that he and DD needed. The man who was 2nd in leading wicket takers of IPL-5, Sunil Narine was once again pick of the bowlers, picking up 4 crucial wickets. And he was well supported by Balaji, Lee, Bhatia. Wickets kept tumbling at regular interval and DD managed to score just 128 runs. While chasing Bisla got out early, but that didn't stop Gambhir and Kallis who smashed the DD bowling all over the park. DD managed to pick up 3 quick wickets, but that wasn't enough, as Yusuf Pathan and Morgan hit the winning runs. KKR won the match comprehensively.
My Views-
Injuries to key players was the main problem for Delhi Daredevils. Sehwag, KP, Ryder, Morkel out of the team was a big setback. Spinners Nadeem and Botha were brilliant but they weren't supported by the quicks. Hope the injured players recover well and we will see a strong DD in next games. On the other hand KKR was simply brilliant. They just need to keep the winning momentum going.
