RAJASTHAN ROYALS

 

1.Head Coach- Paddy Upton

               Paddy Upton was a South African cricketer. When Garry Kirsten was the head coach of Indian National Cricket team, Paddy was mental conditioning coach of the same team. Under their guidance Indian lifted the World Cup after 28 years. At present, he is also mental conditioning coach of South African Cricket team. He will now coach Rajasthan Royals, led by Dravid.

                        

2.Assistant Coach- Monty Desai

                                 
              
               Monty Desai, is part of Rajasthan Royals in all the seasons so far! He was assistant coach when captain-cum-coach Shane Warne was playing the IPL. In 4th and 5th season, he became the head coach. While for 6th season of IPL he is Assistant coach of RR. Monty conducts development camps and trials, track each player’s form and fitness through out the season and mentally readying them for the IPL season.
 

 

  3.Physio- John Gloster

                                                                                                                               
                                                                                                                                                 John Gloster, former Team India physio, will be now working with the Rajasthan Royals team. Along with physical fatigue, John also helps the younger players to keep the mental fatigue away from them. For him the work will be challenging to keep some of the older players like Hodge, Hogg, Dravid etc. fit throughout the tournament.

 

SUPPORT STAFF OF ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGLORE

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGLORE

 

1.Head Coach- Ray Jennings

               Ray Jennings was named as a head coach of Royal Challengers Banglore in IPL-2. The team owners haven't change him so far. After finishing second last on the points table, under his guidance team managed to reach the finals of the prestigious tournament in South Africa. In 2009, RCB also qualified for the Champions League T20 and lost to Mumbai Indians in final. So, under Ray's guidance, team has already gelled up well, they just need to push themselves a bit and try to win the big matches in play-offs.

                        

2.Assistant Coach- Venkatesh Prasad

                                 
              
                Venkatesh Prasad, Indian fast bowler, is the assistant coach of Royal Challengers Banglore. He was also coach of Indian national team, which won test series in England and New Zealand, they also won the inaugural T20 World Cup played in South Africa. He also worked with the Chennai Super Kings IPL team that won the IPL and CLT20 double in 2010 before bringing over his expertise to his home team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2011.
 

 

  

  3.Batting and Fielding Coach- Mark O'Donnell

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       New Zealander Mark O'Donnell has prior experience coaching various teams in South Africa where he worked for nearly 17 years from 1985.He is the man who guides the batsmen like Gayle, Kohli, AB De Villiers, Dilshan in RCB. He also looks after the fielding drills of the team.

 

4.Physio- Evan Speechly

                                                                                                                               
                                                                                                                                                                                                            Evan Speechly is one of the biggest names in physiotherapy when it comes to cricket and is the current physiotherapist of the Indian national cricket team. He will look forward to keep the players fit and ready for all the matches of the hectic schedule of IPL-6.

 

5.Acupressure Masseur- Ramesh Mane

                                                                                                                                               

                        Ramesh Mane, as masseur joined the Indian cricket team in the 2004/05 season and has been with them ever since. His primary objective at RCB is to ensure that all the players going into a match are suitably rested and relaxed, physically and mentally. His methods to bring about the change include: massages, meditation, acupuncture and pranic healing.

SUPPORT STAFF OF KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS

KOLKATA KNIGHT RIDERS

 

1.Head Coach- Trevor Bayliss

               Trevor Baylissas was named as the coach of the Sri Lankan national team in August 2007. He left the position after the 2011 World Cup, in which Sri Lanka finished as runners-up, being defeated by India in the final. In 2012, he was appointed as the head coach of the Sydney Sixers, for Australia's inaugural Big Bash League, and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League & on both the occasions he ended up being on a winning side.

                        

 

  2.Assistant Coach- Vijay Dahiya

                                                             Vijay Dahiya was wicketkeeper and right hand batsman.  He retired from all forms of cricket after playing his last match against Uttar Pradesh in Dec 2006. After his retirement he became the coach of the Delhi team and led them to a Ranji Trophy triumph in the 2007-08 season ending their 16 year drought. He was appointed the assistant coach of the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009.


 

  3.Mentor- Brett Lee

                                                                                                                                   
                                                                                                                                  Brett Lee, Aussie speedster is all set to mentor the bowling attack of Kolkata Knight Riders. He is also part of the squad. Balaji, McLaren, Pattinson, Sangwan, Shami Ahmed will be keen to learn a few things from him!

 

4.Physio- Andrew Leipus

                                                                                                                               
                                                          Born in Australia,one of the best known physiotherapists in sports, Andrew Leipus, is the team physio for the Knight Riders, guiding them to fitness, and helping them build strength and stamina. Andrew, who is credited to have taken the fitness levels of the Indian Cricket team to new levels, worked for the B.C.C.I. for five years.

 

5.Fielding Coach- Trevor Penney

                                                                                                                                               

                           He has worked as the assistant coach of the Sri Lankan national team and the fielding coach of the English cricket team. He is currently the fielding coach of the Indian national team. Some of the outstanding fielders like Manoj Tiwary, Morgan, McCulum, Y. Pathan, Gambhir etc. will try to improve themselves, under his guidance, to help KKR to save as many runs as possible.

SUPPORT STAFF OF KINGS XI PUNJAB

KINGS XI PUNJAB

 

1.Head Coach- Darren Lehman 

                Darren Lehmann from Australia was famous as a gutsy all rounder who never gave up. In 2009, under his coaching Adam Gilchrist and his team Deccan Chargers won the IPL title! So the duo will look to repeat the history along with team of Kings XI Punjab! Recently, as a coach he guided Brisbane Heat to the BBL(Big Bash League, Australia) title in 2013. He looks forward to working with Gilly and boys.

                        

 

  2.Assistant Coach- Woorkeri Raman

   Woorkeri Raman was a dashing Indian opener, in 90s. As a coach he has helped Tamil Nadu, Bengal and India U-19 cricket teams. He will help Darren Lehmann to get best out of the players. 

 

  3.Physio- Patrick Farhart

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Patrick is currently the physiotherapist for the Sydney Sixers 20/20 cricket team He served as the head physiotherapist to the NSW cricket team from 1990 to 2009 and the Hampshire cricket team in England from 2002 to 2006. He is also a member of Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).

 

4.Fielding Coach- Mike Young

                                                                                                                               
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Mike Young, Being an American with a background in baseball, he brings a fresh and unique perspective to his job of a fielding coach. Along with Lehmann and Gilly, Mike Young has was also a part of IPL success when Deccan Chargers went to win it in 2009, his first season with the franchise, and has now moved to Kings XI Punjab this season.

 

5.Bowling Coach- Joe Dawes

                                                                                                                                                 Joe Dawes, recently appointed as a Indian Bowling Coach will also play the same role for KXIP! He is former Australian pace bowler. With Praveen Kumar, Ryan Harris, Stuart Broad and Azhar Mahmood, KXIP have some good bowlers with international cricket. There are also Harmeet (Singh) and (Parvinder) Awana, so the team has a decent bowling attack. And all the bowlers will be keen to work with Joe Dawes!

SUPPORT STAFF OF MUMBAI INDIANS

MUMBAI INDIANS

 

1.Head Coach- John Wright 

                         John Right, New Zealand, had been former India's Coach! Under him Indian Team led by Dada managed to qualify for the finals of World Cup in South Africa. He will be part of IPL family, for the first time, this year. Expectations of Mumbai Indians will be high from him and their new captain Ricky Ponting!

 

  2.Chief Mentor- Anil Kumble

     Kumble was a key figure in the IPL, first as player, then as captain, and subsequently as chief mentor of Royal Challengers Bangalore. He moved to Mumbai Indians as their chief mentor in 2013. Kumble's leadership qualities will definitely help the team! He is calm and composed! His presence will also be good for Mumbai Indians' former captain Harbhajan Singh!

 

  3.Assistant Coach- Robin Singh

                                                          Robin Singh is former Indian all rounder and former fielding coach of Indian Cricket team! He is keen to work with some of the most talented and promising young players in the world. He has been keeping an eye on the fitness levels of the Mumbai Indians, as well as their performance in local cricket. He wants his team Mumbai Indians to win the IPL trophy this year!!!

4.Fielding Coach- Jonty Rhodes

                                                                                                                                                   Jonty Rhodes, Advisor-cum-Fielding Coach of Mumbai Indians, is a legendary South African cricketer who has earned a reputation for being the best fielder in the world. He will be happy to work with some of the naturally good fielders, like Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Dinesh Kartik, Ambati Rayudu etc.


 5.Masseur- Robert Gibson

                                                                                                                                                 Robert Gibson is qualified as a professional and certified massage therapist.  He has worked as a specialist massage therapist for 17 years. He has travelled to and worked in countries like the UK, USA, Australia, and India. In the IPL he will have to keep an eye on the fitness of Mumbai Indians' player and massage their stiff body, whenever required.

  

6.Trainer- Paul Chapman

             Paul Chapman is the Mumbai Indians Strength and Conditioning Coach and is responsible for the physical preparation of players throughout the tournament. He will look forward to train people like Ricky Ponting, Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, etc.

1. Mentor- T.A.Sekar

 

           He was with the team when it made it to the semifinals in the first two editions of IPL. On his return to the side this year, he has already worked hard to making the squad more balanced – and formidable. He will be mentoring the Delhi Daredevils' team, this year!


2. Head Coach- Eric Simmons
Eric Simmons


           The former fast medium bowler who played 21 ODIs for South Africa, has served as Coach of the South African team and the Bowling Coach of the Indian teamHe shares a great rapport with skipper Virender Sehwag and Team Mentor TA Sekar. In 2013, he will have the bowlers like Umesh Yadav, Morne Morkel, Aashish Nehra, Varun Aaron, Irfan Pathan, Ajit Agarkar etc!



3. Fielding Coach- Trent Woodhill

          Trent Woodhill, the Australian is now also an Assistant Coach with the New Zealand team. He has the reputation of encouraging the batsmen to play the big shots. Besides, he is known to be a fabulous fielding coach, too. He had also coached David Warner who is part of Delhi Daredevils, when he was young!!



4. Spin Coach- Aashish Kapoor


Aashish Kapoor
         The former India off-spinner is a key figure in the Delhi Daredevils set up. Having played four Tests and 17 ODIs for IndiaAashish Kapoor understands the needs of the Daredevils. He forms a crucial part of the thinktank, keeping track of the players in the squad and scouting for talent. He will have spinners like Johan Botha, Nadeem, vanDer Merve, Negi etc.



5. Performance Coach- Jeremy Snape

                            Former England cricketer Jeremy Snape, who is acknowledged to have helped South Africa in its journey as the top Test-playing team, will work as the Delhi Daredevils Performance Coach in 2013 season He has the credentials to help the Delhi Daredevils achieve its goals, bringing in fresh ideas and help the coaching staff bring the best out of the players in a high performance environment.





6. Physio-Kirk Russel
Kirk Russel

         He is the most experienced physio in world cricket, being physio of England team for over 100 test matches between 2002-2010. He has kept pace with the introduction of Twenty20 cricket which means players are competing more and their workload increased. He loves his job and enjoys what he does. The Delhi Daredevils players will need him, as the schedule of IPL is very thight!!!
